Some of the most important characters include the son of Ashok's previous bride, Pramila, a famous poet and a famous painter, Dattesh Bedi and the rich girl Sangeeta. Ashok and Pramila's son Abhish go on a trip to Bali, while Pramila and Dattesh go on a vacation to Goa. The main supporting cast includes Bedi, Pritishanker, Sangeeta and Amol.

As the series progresses, many other storylines are introduced. One involves the struggle between Ashok and his younger brother, Ajay. Another involves Ajay going to boarding school with Pramila.
